Passion. Pride. Tradition.
Still need to develop the pitching that's here, and better catching helps.
Norris had a .252 wOBA last year and a negative fWAR — he's awful.
Decent pitch framer but don't worry, he would provide plenty of suckage.
Which pitchers are you referring to?
Well then, where do we sign? He is perfect for the 2017 White Sox.
Rodon for 1, who as we've discussed was the most squeezed P in the game last year.
Meh.. a 1.40 WHIP.. Nothing to be excited for. Make or break for him this year.
Thought you were referring to the new kids they picked up in the off-season.
A 1.40 WHIP because...
He's 24YO and has elite stuff, ranking 7th in the AL in K/9 (just barely behind Sale) despite awful pitch framing.
Even based on WHIP alone, he's already an established 3rd starter or better.
This fucking guy
Anthrax making a late push to bump up his ToS seeding.
Which is why putting him in a position to succeed is important...right?
Meh, Hope he does well to flip him... That's my hope.
People hitta the base a ball..
1 hr per 9 innings
Why would you want to flip Rodon? He's ceiling is that of an ace and he's under control for 6 more years (I thought it was 5, but BR says he isn't a FA until 2022).
Just think of the return someone would give on that. You could restock the farm, and then some. The sox can always find another "ace".. Let him do well and sell, sell, sell...
I don't think that would be true.
They can restock the farm plenty with Q, Robertson, Jones, Abreu, Melky, Frazier, etc.
At some point you need to build a core and stick with young proven players. Rodon is good enough and under control enough to be part of that core. Sale, Q and Eaton were traded because their contracts would've expired or near expiration by the time the Sox were good again.
THINK OF THE HAUL WE CAN GET FOR HIM!
Melky needs to have a repeat season to get a good return back (which is why it's so dumb they didn't trade him last year) but Todd Frazier absolutely has value. He's been a 3 WAR player on average for the past 3 seasons.
