I'm sure another school would gladly take their spot.
The prosecutor apparently concluded that the chick lied based on video evidence. After the players agreed to stay 20 feet away from her and agreed not to sue her, she dropped her claim saying: “I’m glad this is over. This has never been about punishing anyone, I just wanted to feel safe. Because of this resolution that we came to, now I do.” But the university suspended them anyway?
Ya know. For malfeasance!
Stoops played this POS for two years...
HOW CAN SHE SLAP?
Holy shit! How does he not go to jail for that?
Looks like maybe he side punched her head and her face bounced off the corner of that table. Nasty shit. They must have paid her off to keep her from pressing charges.
This Minnesota shit is hilarious. Boycotting the Holiday Bowl because 10 of their players are involved in a sexual assault investigation and are suspended only to turn tail and "deciding" to play not 24 hours later. College Football is the absolute worst.
To be fair, the incident was acknowledged and he was suspended an entire season. College football (and the NFL) lets suspected sexual assaulters stay on their rosters
Most schools would have kicked him off the team and dismissed him from the university altogether. Unless he can help you get to the playoff in the coming year that they were on schedule to do, that is.
Like Jameis Winston... you can rape someone and stay on the team if you are a national champion contender and a key player
It is going to be hilarious when Leach and WSU curb stomp the fuck out of them in this game.
Hopefully Jerry Kill isn't spazing out
What the school is doing to those kids is crap, but my guess is the administration told the rest of the players that they would make their lives hell if they missed out on the bowl game payout.
To recap, the chick in MN lied when she said she was gang raped. Everybody, including her, apparently acknowledges that she lied.
Yeah, the DA isn't pursuing charges because the sex was consensual.
But all of the players are black, so football life lessons must be delivered.
Evidence isn't part of the Title IX investigation process.
ESPN forgot to report on this.
New OC at Rutgers!
PJ Fleck haps
Rhythmic Slapping in the Shower goes down.
Musburger is a shithead. Just call the damn game, no one gives a shit about your opinion.
He's always been one of my favorite national announcers, great voice, and is a really nice guy to boot (met him briefly at an IU basketball game I was doing radio for years back) but it's certainly starting to make sense why ESPN demoted him to SECN, between this and the Webb thing.
It's Vern Lundquist or get the fuck out of here.
But yea, "one of" doesn't put him ahead of Verne. Going to be very strange with him gone next year, but Nessler is quality.
Did you guys see Keith Jackson in the booth with Herbstreit and Fowler? Holy shit did he look old. Barely could hold a thought, too.
I missed it but they were discussing it on DP yesterday. Think I heard he's 88 now.
He's lost a ton of weight and his voice barely sounds like his old self.
Whole thing was
I have so few memories of him. Feel like the Rose Bowl was the only game he was still doing by the time I started paying attention enough to know which announcers are which.
He was the best at his peak.
Whoa, Nellie, let me tell you 'bout BO JACKSON!
I will never forget this benefit for Jesse Jackson that I went to in the 80s when he introduced Joe Jackson, Jackson Browne and Michael Jackson. It was epic!
Looks like PJ Fleck is off to Minnesota.
Never heard of him
Thought Clemson could give Alabama some fits today.
Pretty one-sided game so far.
Bama strips it and recovers. Clemson looks half asleep.
This is going to end up a 4 and a half hour game.
Watson's lucky not to be in a wheelchair after that hit.
Fairly convinced that the Bears will draft Watson after this game has me fairly convinced that he will never be a serviceable NFL starter.
