That was the most Bears way to end it
And dropped QBs
Nice blocking asshole
Had to chance to win it late, and couldn't. Football Sox.
Bellamy turns a hair too late. Howard, if he catches it, isn't in anyway but OOB. Miller throw was bad and then fagotron 2000 on the OL to lose.
Would have preferred they just got their asses kicked than anything close.
Why? Who really cares in the end?
False hope, Bevi.
Hey, 1% Z made his girlfriend watch this game, on vacation, in Amsterdam of all places. We're doing just fine.
I didn't watch a single snap, so riddle me this:
Why pass 40 fucking times with your shitty QB for a 5.3 yard average and only run 19 times despite a 6.6 yard average? It's not like they were getting blown out.
FWIW, 16 of those passes came on the final drive at the end (77 yds in 3:00). The drive prior to that was a 10 play (all passes) 75-yard TD drive. So their last 26 plays were all passing plays which netted 1 TD and a first and goal for the win.
Dowell Faggins sucks. So does Glennon. So does Kevin White. The rest of the team is actually alright. Especially Cohen
Halfway watched the first half while minding mini-ballz. Didn't watch a lick of the 2nd half.
They are saying Kevin Glass (White) has a broken collarbone.
IR. Season over.
This is kinda how Grossman's career started and look out that all worked out
The Greg Oden of footballs.
You should be able to get some kind of compensation for this shit.
Julio Jones had more yards in 1 game (300) in 2016 than any Bears receiver that played last night had the entire 2016 season except for Kendall Wright (416), which was for a different team.
Sometimes I'm still surprised at how dumb people paid to talk about sports are. J Hood on Monday was saying he didn't know if the Bears game would be played. He wasn't saying not in Tampa, like played at all. Which:
The NFL would not create some sort of scheduling nightmare and cancel that game entirely. If Tampa couldn't host, it would've been played somewhere.
Then yesterday he said tanking in the NFL is "the worst". Comparing it to tanking in MLB and NBA. He didn't provide any additional context or explanation. If he's talking about effect on fans, you could argue it's easier to stomach your NFL team tanking as the NFL season is the shortest out of all those sports in terms of games and real time length. Also turning over a NFL team can be really quick, especially if you have a QB.
That's on you for listening to meatball sports talk.
I don't know who J Hood is, but no game? cmon, no way TB has 2 straight bye weeks.
The only reason last week's game wasn't relocated is because Miami has a home game in London and they didn't want them to end up with only 6.
If Tampa wasn't playable, they'd definitely be at a neutral site this week. What a dummy.
J Hood is the absolute worst in Chicago sports media.
Fuck Tampa anyway, Bears win 24-14
I'd say Kaplan is worse. I don't know if Mike Murphy has a job anymore but if he does, he's worse. Dan McNeil, same... I liked McNeil at one point but now he just seems bitter and he's bit of a nut. Some of the remaining Sun Times/Tribune columnists like Cowley, Telander, etc. are shitty too.
Murphy just retired like a week or 2 ago.
EDIT: I was thinking of Mike North
I actually like Cowley. Telander is a shithead. Kaplan sucks as well. I'd still take all of them over J-Hood.
Fred Huebner was actually at my wedding. I heard he gave a shout out to +1 and myself on his Bears pregame show.
Dude is a straight up troll. He pretty much has admitted it.
I remember like 10 years ago the Score was God awful with North and Anne Maxfield in the mornings. And the Hood, Telander, Buffone show in the afternoons.
I think the peak of that era was when Telander was reading the Star Spangled Banner line by line and analyzing it.
He has a Bears pregame show? Didn't know what he was doing these days, outside of Fire Weekly on CSN.
He does Chicago's GameDay on 1000, and does some fill-in work here and there when regular hosts are out.
Does Cowley even work in Chicago anymore?
Better question: how the fuck does Prope know Fred Huebner?
Fred Huebner lives behind +1's parents, and they are good friends. He was invited to the wedding.
Did he RSVP on time?
Actually he was one of the first RSVPs. He and his wife are nice people.
Probably a meatball take here; but any chance Sean Payton could be our next hc?
If not him, then a QB/OC coach like him.
Their primary job will be to develop a young QB.
As mo said, it'll be someone that can groom Trubisky. Payton is an obvious candidate because of Pace's time in New Orleans. But more likely candidates are probably guys like McDaniels, Scott Linehan, Todd Haley.
Is he likely to be fired or is his contract up soon?
Payton just signed a 5 year extension last offseason.
I'd rather throw all the money at Harbaugh but he's going to want too much control
Harbaugh was considered dumb as a box of rocks when he was a NFL QB. Any success he had was attributed to the coaches dumbing down the offense to only 1 or 2 options so he could run it. Then there's this hilarious report from his HS QB camp:
That's not true, John apparently gets along really well with Ozzie Newsome.
You don't have to be a Mensa member to be a good football coach. You need to know football, and Harbaugh has had success at every stop of his career.
