I can't see them losing that division though, but would be awesome if AZ took them over.
19 in a row for the Indians.
And the Dodgers drop #11
There's 20 in a row. A 2-0 CG shutdown by Kluber. Impressive!
In 16 of those 20 wins, they have allowed 2 runs or less
They have more homers than runs allowed in that span.
One of 3 pitchers that threw a QS by during the streak? Reynoldo Lopez, mister quality start himself.
Also fuck the Indians.
But I'm gearing up for a World Series rematch and the Tribe getting their revenge.
The only blemish is that 16 of the 20 wins have come against teams with a losing record (10 of those being Sox & Detoilet)
You want the Cubs to reach a 2nd straight WS?
Indians peaking way too fucking early in my book.
You save this kind of run for 3rd week in September and on. I'm guessing they're gone in the first round.
Yeah, I'd prefer the Cubs stumble right the fuck out of the playoffs.
Twins just became the first team in MLB history to homer in each of the first 7 innings of a game. Reds had a similar feat in 1999, but did it in innings 2-8.
But I'm totally geared up for a combined Brew Crew/Cardinals act to finish the season, and the Cubs to get into the playoffs and all of a sudden, the Dodgers and Nats, etc. go fetal and the Cubs end up in the WS again.
In an ideal world, they eat a dick these last 20 games of the year, though.
Predicting the Dodgers Cubs Nats Diamondbacks and Cardinals all make playoffs. Cardinals upset the Diamondbacks and the downtrodden Dodgers. Cubs beat the Nationals because D.C. Teams choke in playoffs Cubs beat the Cardinals and go on to play Tribe in a rematch of last years World Series. Indians win in 7 after Cubs blow 3-2 lead
Fuck 'em all.
No Wild Card is coming out of the NL Central, Cards and Brewers are closer to winning the division then claiming the last WC spot. Its division or nothing for the Central IMO
Unless the Rockies collapse or the Cards pull off a 10 game winning streak, both WC teams are gonna be in the West.
You can prove anything with numbers.
Jndians already up 3-1 after 1.
MLB Free Game of the Day, Indians up 5-3 going into the 9th.
21 in a row.
Keep going! Next up is the 1913 Giants who went 26 straight without a loss (1 tie)
1916, I just checked them on Baseball reference, they were 2-13 to start and then won 17 straight, played mediocre ball for the next few months, went unbeaten for 27 games, finished 7 back in 4th.
fuck the giants too
3.5 back with 18 games to go. It's not impossible for StL to get back in. If Col gets in then I'm taking the Diamondbacks to beat the Dodgers and the Cubs.
No not impossible but almost impossible as shown by their 7% chance of winning the WC compared to Arizonas 99% chance and Colorados 88% chance. Not to mention Colorado is on a six game win streak and one of the hottest teams in baseball behind Cleveland
Rhys Hoskins with No. 18 for the #Phillies.
Hadn't heard of this guy until like 3 days ago. 18 homers in ~35 games.
That first name.
Indians down to their last strike and Lindor hits a game tying double
Going to extras...
18 of those wins have come against 4 of the 6 worst teams in the AL: Sox, Tigers, Royals and Orioles
Didn't Cleveland once make the playoffs just by going 17-2 against us in one year?
Bottom of the 9th, Indians down by 1 with a runner on
Thought Lindor had some more magic but not tonight
Add Mike Minor to the list of SP stiffs turned into RP studs by the KC royals. Wade Davis, Luke Hochevar, Joe Blanton, they even got something decent out of Chien-Ming Wang last year.
Yeah, Minor shut them down 2 nights in a row
Proof that the Toddfather is truly having an atrocious year at the plate.
Chris Sale becomes first rookie to strike out 300 in a season.
First AL pitcher to K 300 since 1999.
