He's not wrong.
Yeah, but still.
We did do a chair dance to welcome Chips into the tribe.
Pace is making Emery look good right about now. At least Emery did something outside of the box with the Tresty hire, as badly as that backfired. Fox is just a joke and last year was just as bad as the season Trestman lost control and got canned.
Ernie Accorsi recommended!
Fuck that old African American cuck Accorsi.
Overreaction haps, of course. It does this team nothing to "win" free agency. Got to wait for the draft to see Pace's real plan.
Not blowing a bunch of cap space isn't the worst thing in the world.
Teams need to spend 95% of the cap to meet the floor.*
*not correct. That's league wide...which is different than the 89% requirement for individual teams during the 2017-20 4 year window.
The only competent guy working for the Bears is cap specialist Cliff Fucking Stein.
Helps, too, that the team rarely needs to pony up big money to keep players after their rookie contracts expire.
Bears sign WR Markus Wheaton.
Best signing they've made so far
It's become kind of obvious that the Bears are a bit toxic for FA. None of the big names want to come here, and why should they, considering that this team, realistically, has no chance of winning a Super Bowl for what would be the run of these guys' contracts. The team really does need to start building massively through the draft.
Meanwhile the Jags have landed big name FAs the last two years. Pretty sure it comes down to money
I suppose the other thing to consider is the McCaskey family backing that bizarre worker's comp legislation that would really screw over football players.
That law is anti labor and stupid but I believe it's something that already exists in many states already. Just a PR move by the NFLPA
It really wouldn't screw over anyone. Very few players would ever be able to collect workers comp anyway.
And we should note all 5 pro teams in the city backed it so it wasn't some thing that was all Bears
Actually, now that I hear what Alshon actually got, I think it's pretty clear he had no interest in being a Bear.
He's also one substance fuck up from being suspended for a season?
We get a mediocre TE, a garbage heap QB, a mediocre WR and lose out on all the good FAs?
Let's hope the draft goes better...
Last year's draft class was pretty good
You forgot a 32 year old safety.
Prince has signed.
I really hope that some small sample size haps right there. And I do recognize that Glennon had jack shit to throw to in Tampa Bay. Of course, he's likely to face a similar problem in Chicago.
Mike Glennon had Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans in his 2nd season when he started 5 games. Those numbers are also based off 630 pass attempts.
Have I mentioned recently that I hate the Bears?
Jim Miller was on 670 earlier this week really going hard on how Glennon is good. The first part of his argument was that there are apparently a lot of coaches league wide who are high on him. The second part was he had Schiano during his rookie year, and his second year Jeff Tedford left before the season began and the guy calling the plays had never coached in the NFL.
I don't know how any of that translates to the production he's shown....
Also: is his body backwards...
Bears add another mediocre player over the weekend in Kendall Wright
Loggains apparently let Wright run routes wherever he damned well pleased while OC in Tennessee.
Should work out great.
Why the fuck are the fucking Bears bringing Mark fucking Sanchez in for a fucking visit? If only there were a prize for stockpiling shit QBs. They legit might think Glennon is the answer and might not draft a fucking QB.
This is how I got sycked to follow the EPL. Because of the Bears
I prefer Bundesliga or La Liga but, yes, between the Bears, Bulls, & Sox, I have a lot more free sports viewing time on my hands lately.
La Liga blows. Oh a bunch of cunts diving and not playing any defense.
Woke Fenway Sports Group ownership
And probably the best 6 or 7 players in the world...
I don't have enough time to follow soccer that closely these days - but its nice that there is finally live HD feeds available for the all the big Euro leagues now. I generally just flip through and find the best match up and watch that. Still mostly EPL but if there's a game being played at Dortmund I'm definitely watching that.
And yet you conned him into rooting for a team that's probably less likely to win a title in the next 10 years than the Bears.
I didn't convince him to be an Arsenal fan.
I wouldn't wish either on my worst enemy.
Sycked should man up and find his own team, that's all I'm saying.
The appeal to him was watching games with people he knows. I don't think he cares to go a soccer bar at 9 am by himself and cheer on West Ham
