Would've been good from the right.
Diet Dr. P and Belluminati ads in the same block.
Danny Capron Baby!
Fromm you fuck
What is this offense??
And that's how you kick a field goal.
Bama has to score a TD. Can’t trust kicker beyond 15 yards
Nah, tOSU should have definitely been in the playoffs.
OH FUCK OFF
Roll Damn Tide
How do you blow a coverage that badly?
2 wildcats and a 3 and out. Lovieball, DAWGSTYLE
3 more years of this queer praising the Almighty.
He's probably thanked God at least 5 times during the post game interview and trophy presentation
My older brother (big, big Bama fan, went to UofA) told me that he went to hikes school with the father of Bama's kicker.
I hate taking the under in NCAA.
From to like that sucks
Still wins like 60% of the time. Was a good year.
Why does everyone hate Bama? I can never hate Bama after they beat down ND.
Still would like Saban to stop being an arrogant prick and recruit a legit QB. One that actually can do something in the NFL. His QB's since going to LSU:
Rohan Davey, Matt Mauck, Marcus Randall, JaMarcus Russell, John Parker Wilson, Greg McElroy, AJ McCarron, Blake Sims, Jake Coker, Jalen Hurts.
Davey and Wilson he obviously didn't recruit and at least Russell was a #1 pick and McCarron could be something but in general what a list of
McCarron is a serviceable backup at best.
Jesus Boy from last night was a 4 star recruit, and 53rd in the country based on the Rivals rankings. I don't know if it's necessarily that he doesn't recruit the top QBs, as much as it is what he asks them to do.
Hurts might as well make the transition to RB or WR now to improve his draft stock. He ain't no NFL QB.
People don't like seeing the same team win over and over again
It's not just Saban/Bama, the conference as a whole doesn't produce them.
Fromm is going to be pretty damn good.
They have 4/5 starters Cam, Stafford, Eli, Dak all SEC guys. Cutler too, although I assume he's done after this year.
But yeah, there are what 150+ college QBs, most of whom suck. I'm not any conference is all that awesome at producing QBs compared to the rest of the conferences. Same thing with Kickers, college kickers suck for the most part.
CFB in general does a real poor job at developing QBs for the professional level. At the same time, the NFL has been really slow, or even stubborn, at adopting basic principles of college offenses in their playbooks to help young QBs adjust. Case in point, look at the difference in how Jared Goff played in a strict NFL style offense last year compared to an offense this year that had some spread offense mixed in. That's actually part of the reason why I was so high on Nagy, because Andy Reid did something similar this year (and I imagine will be doing more and more as Mahomes develops). I think Trubisky might thrive in that hybrid type of offense.
I would think regardless Saban could get any QB with a NFL caliber arm to go there. Hey you'll play behind a great line, have a good running game and defense to support you and Alabama usually has one really good receiver- Ridley, Cooper, Julio. And you'll be in national title contention every single year.
I don't disagree, but the other factor here is maybe the elite HS prospects just don't want to play for him. With the reasons you listed, I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to go there, but I imagine it's a lot more fun to play in Clemson's offense than Bama's.
Yeah that's true, it's easy to sell a young kid on a high flying pass heavy offense instead of handing off the ball 35 times a game.
The problem with college football as a development league is that they are their own league with real financial incentives to win. If aaa Birmingham teaches some dude to bat like ty cobb cuz he can get singles off shitty pitchers, the major league club will fire everyone involved. In the meantime Urban Meyer makes millions of dollars off of teaching Tim Tebow how to short arm the ball. Why teach him how to check down if he is going to be paid more teaching him to do things that are only successful at the college level.
The nfl is kind of reaping what they sow by eschewing farm teams in favor of a free minor league system
That's a really good point. Unfortunately, any kind of farm/club system would never go over in the NFL.
Why would they want it? It would cost them money, and plus unlike MLB, NFL players are stars BEFORE they get drafted. It sucks there are no QBs worth a shit in the NFL but it is still worth it to them I’m sure
