Whoever wins is going to be a tough out for the Flubs.
It's Syndergaard for the Mets. Guessing Cueto for the Giants since Bumgarner went on Friday.
I don't know that the Mets have the pitching to beat the Cubs. The Giants would be interesting though if Bumgarner doesn't have to start on Tuesday and can go in game 1 and then either Moore or Samardzjia in game 2 with Cueto set for game 3.
Relying on Samardzj in an important game?
I had my days off. The 5th is Wednesday so Bumgarner will be on regular rest, so I would imagine he goes for the Giants. Which means he wouldn't be ready until game 3. More breaks for the Coo although Cueto is pretty damn good. And Hendricks and Arietta weren't very good in their last starts.
Its the playoffs, so Bumgarner can still go on 5 hours rest
Mets in 4.
This seems like a better matchup than the AL WC.
I hope the Mets win just so I don't have to go to my storage unit and get my Giants hat. Kept the Mets hat out from last NLCS.
No score after 5.
Got stuck at work till 7:30 and had to wait till an 8:20 train
Hoping to get back before the 8th.
Great catch by Granderson.
Home plate umpire kind of sucks, but these two guys are kind of unhittable anyway.
Cubs should be ecstatic to avoid these two until game 3
I think Bumgarner is already penciled in for Games 1, 2, 4 & 5
C-Gill leadoff single.
Addison Reed in.
Coop fix'd em?
Fuck Addison Reed.
Reed throwing strikes on the complete opposite end of the strike zone he is aiming for.
Jesus, this ump...
How was that not a strike?
And to think this is a guy who rated high enough to get home plate in this game. How shitty is everyone else?
Soon as this fuckin game ends, I'm buying the corresponding floppy hat off Amazon.
Reed gets out of a jam
MLB Gameday pauses to show that bloated Alec Baldwin commercial
Late stage capitalism haps
I like the Mets better but feel like the Giants have a better shot against the Cubs due to starting pitching.
Yeah, hard to imagine Fatty Colon doing much good on the mound at Wrigley Friday night.
One batter late on that gapper
Good at bat there, clown.
Don't blow this, Giants.
Gonna have to do this the old fashioned way: a few walks and an error
Conor Gillespie up
Familia so wants to throw a wild pitch here.
Yep, Bumgarner to finish it.
A Conor Gillaspie 3 run convincer
I'm changing my name to Robert Fagot, Pinch Runner
